Woman with Concealed Carry Gun Fights Off 4 Armed Men

Concealed Carry Handgun

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Thankfully, a young woman in Chicago was able to use her concealed-carry firearm to defend herself and prevent a gang of four armed men from carjacking her by shooting one of them in the head.

The carjacking attempt, which failed thanks to the 23-year-old victim’s concealed-carry license, occurred last week in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Fox News reported, citing a local CBS affiliate.

Around 2 a.m., the woman, whose identity is not revealed, was sitting in her vehicle Wednesday near 89th Street and Kenwood Avenue.

At that point, four men came out of a black sedan, and one of them, holding a gun, tried to open her car door.

The woman shot the wannabe carjacker in the head and then ran away from the vehicle.

Another one from the carjacking gang fired after her, hitting her in the left arm. The victim was later hospitalized in fair condition at Advocate Trinity Hospital.

Although three of the attackers, including the one who fired at her, managed to escape, the criminal she shot in the head was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The Chicago Police Department has not offered details into the incident, which was noted in a Newsmax interview by US Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona as a new case of a victim using a concealed-carry gun to defend her life and property.

Last year, crime in Chicago exploded to its highest rates in a quarter-century, the Fox News report points out.

The city’s police records show robbery reports have spiked by 15% in 2022, while holdups have increased by 11% since 2020 and 2019.

Police sources cited in the report said seven carjackings occurred on Chicago’s West Side last Friday morning within just one hour, with the incidents occurring on several different streets.

In some reported carjackings, the attackers held the victims at gunpoint.

In an incident in Chicago earlier this month, 24-year-old Nicholas Williams had tried to rob the El Barakah Supermarket on 73rd Street on Chicago’s South Shore at about 6:20 p.m.

A concealed-carry holder intervened to stop the armed robbery, but the ensuing altercation saw the deaths of both the grocery store clerk and the suspect.
