Boar’s Head has announced a recall of certain cheese products due to potential Listeria contamination. The affected products, supplied by Ambriola Company, include grated pecorino Romano cheese with sell-by dates from November 21, 2025, to March 12, 2026.
These products were distributed to Kroger stores in Kentucky and Indiana and used in the brand’s grab-n-go chicken Caesar salad and wrap containers.
This recall is part of an ongoing effort to address a serious food safety concern. In July 2024, a listeria outbreak at a Boar’s Head plant in Virginia resulted in the deaths of 10 people and hospitalizations of dozens more.
The outbreak led to the recall of over 7 million pounds of meat and has since been linked to unsanitary conditions discovered by government inspectors at multiple facilities.
