General Kurilla’s testimony before the House Armed Services Committee left no doubt about America’s military readiness.
When Committee Chair Mike Rogers asked whether the U.S. is prepared to take decisive action against Iran, Kurilla responded unequivocal, confirming that detailed strike plans had been presented to President Trump and Secretary Hegseth.

The military preparations come amid crucial negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program.

A temporary agreement reached in May between the U.S. and Houthi leaders has resulted in a ceasefire on American ships in the Red Sea, allowing U.S. naval forces to transit without incident.
However, the group continues to target vessels from other nations, demonstrating the limitations of current deterrence strategies.
