Travis Buchanan, 35, his wife Candace, also 35, and their children Aubrey, 10, and Walker, 9, perished when their plane crashed around 2 p.m. near Sanford Raleigh Executive Airport.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol arrived shortly after the crash, but tragically, three family members died at the scene while the fourth succumbed to injuries at a local hospital.
The entire ordeal has left the local community in shock.
This devastating accident occurred about 45 minutes southwest of Raleigh.
