Newly declassified documents revealed China’s alleged scheme to manufacture fake driver’s licenses intended for fraudulent mail-in ballots that favored Joe Biden.
The explosive intelligence, recently delivered to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, details a sophisticated Chinese operation to influence American electoral outcomes.
According to FBI reports from September 2020, China was linked to the production of counterfeit U.S. driver’s licenses that would facilitate fraudulent mail-in ballots.
This voting method expanded dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This revelation is particularly troubling because under former Director Christopher Wray, the FBI apparently recalled and ordered the destruction of this intelligence report, just as Wray publicly testified about the absence of foreign interference plots.
Director Patel, who has prioritized transparency at the Bureau, took decisive action after discovering these documents:
“Thanks to the oversight work and partnership of Chairman Grassley, the FBI continues to provide unprecedented transparency at the people’s Bureau,” Patel stated.
“To that end, we have located documents Chairman Grassley requested, which detail alarming allegations related to the 2020 U.S. election,” he added.
The evidence appears substantial. During this period, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reportedly intercepted nearly 20,000 fake licenses from China—sophisticated forgeries complete with working barcodes.

These counterfeit IDs, primarily created for college-age individuals, could have been used to cast fraudulent votes in key swing states where Biden won by razor-thin margins.
Chairman Grassley has demanded answers. His committee is now investigating why this critical intelligence was suppressed and who ordered its recall.
A Grassley spokesperson confirmed: “Chairman Grassley is in receipt of an FBI document responsive to a request he made based on legally protected whistleblower disclosures.”
According to the spokesperson, the document “alleges serious national security concerns that need to be fully investigated by the FBI. ”
This revelation validates concerns that many conservatives have expressed since November 2020.
The unprecedented expansion of mail-in voting during the pandemic created vulnerabilities that foreign adversaries apparently exploited.
China, which has consistently denied any involvement, continues to interfere in American elections, as evidenced by its targeting of both Republican and Democrat campaigns in the 2024 election cycle.
Patel’s decision to declassify these documents marks a stark departure from the previous FBI leadership’s approach.
Grassley has set a July 1 deadline for the FBI to provide all unclassified material related to this investigation.
