77% of ‘Elites’ Support THIS?!

Red light

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Highlighting how out of touch liberal elites are regarding the day-to-day issues regular Americans face, a recent survey has sparked controversy about how different groups of people view climate change and what they are willing to do about it.

Carried out by the conservative Committee to Unleash Prosperity, the survey focused on “elites.” These are people with advanced degrees, high incomes, and living in densely populated areas.

The survey found that many of these elites, especially those who graduated from Ivy League schools, strongly support measures to fight climate change that include strictly rationing gas, meat, and electricity.

The numbers are pretty shocking. About 77% of these elites favor rationing to combat climate change, compared to 63% of all Americans who are against this idea. Nearly 90% of the elites who went to top universities agree with the rationing. This shows a significant gap between what these elites and the average American believe.

The survey also explored other areas. For instance, it found that nearly six out of ten elites think there’s too much individual freedom in America. And when it comes to modern conveniences, like gas stoves, gas-powered cars, SUVs, and air conditioning, half to two-thirds of these elites would support banning them if it helped fight climate change. About 70% of Ivy League grads even back limits on “non-essential” air travel for the same reason.

On the topic of education, most of these Ivy League graduates and so-called one-percenters feel that teachers and education professionals, not the parents, should decide what’s taught in public schools. This is a stark contrast to the nearly half of average Americans who believe parents should have a say in their kids’ education.

These elites also have more trust in the government to do right by its citizens compared to the national average. This trust and their views on climate action and education reveal a deep divide within American society.

The survey’s findings are causing quite a stir, with some commentators arguing that these elites are out of touch with the needs and wants of ordinary Americans. They believe that this disconnect threatens the core values of freedom, equality, and self-governance that America was built on. Others might see these findings as evidence of a group of people who are deeply concerned about climate change and willing to make significant changes to address it.
