(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Joe Biden seems to be in much deeper criminal and political trouble than most everyone thought – as House Republicans have now disclosed that the classified US documents he kept at his private venues concern his family’s business dealings with America’s enemies.
The allegation that the classified materials that Biden retained after the end of his second vice-presidential term in 2017 concerns his family’s business connections in Communist China and Putin’s Russia, among other nations, was exposed Monday by House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY).
Comer detailed the claim in a letter to US Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Hur, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate the president for mishandling of classified documents.
Under his probe, Hur interviewed Joe Biden for two hours last week, Breitbart News notes in a report.
In his letter, Comer referenced past interviews that Hur conducted with Biden and expressed concerns about connections between the current scandal and the Biden family’s international business ventures centered around First Son Hunter Biden.
“[T]he Biden family received millions of dollars from foreign sources while President Biden served in public office and afterwards,” the Kentucky Republican wrote, as cited by The Washington Times.
“If any of the classified documents mishandled by President Biden involved countries or individuals that had financial dealings with Biden family members or their related companies, the Committee needs access to that information to evaluate whether our national security has been compromised,” he insisted.
Comer’s concerns revolve around the nature and content of the specific documents that Biden had retained.
“President Biden’s retention of certain classified documents begs the question as to why he kept these particular materials… Of the many classified documents he reviewed over his lengthy career, why did President Biden keep these specific documents in his home and office? The sensitive nature of the information contained in the documents may answer that question for the Committee, which is why we seek to review those materials,” the House Oversight chairman elaborated.
Biden’s personal attorneys initially found US classified documents on November 2, 2022, and more were discovered in January, some of which were labeled “top secret,” as noted by CBS News.
The reason behind Biden’s attorneys searching for these documents at the Biden Penn Center remains a mystery, Breitbart notes, as neither the White House nor the DOJ have explained the situation.
