(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – The legal representatives of scandalous First Son Hunter Biden have reportedly issued a threat to Fox News, indicating imminent legal action over claims of unauthorized commercial use of the President’s son’s persona.
Attorney Mark Geragos, representing Biden, has informed Fox Corporation and Fox News Digital of their intent to pursue compensation for allegations of “conspiracy and subsequent actions to defame [Hunter] Biden and paint him in a false light, the unlicensed commercial exploitation of his image, name, and likeness, and the unlawful publication of hacked intimate images of him,” as reported by NBC News.
As of now, no legal suit has been filed, The Daily Caller reports.
A letter dated April 23, bearing the signature of Tina Glandian, a partner at Geragos and Geragos, has been highlighted in reports by NBC News.
The firm has set a deadline of April 26 for Fox News to issue a response, which has reportedly not been met by the network.
The ongoing preparations to initiate a lawsuit against Fox by Biden’s legal advisors have been in the works for over a year.
Geragos accused the network of persistent attacks on his client for the purpose of enhancing their ratings and increasing their revenue.
“For the last five years, Fox News has relentlessly attacked Hunter Biden and made him a caricature in order to boost ratings and for its financial gain,” the lawfirm stated.
“The recent indictment of FBI informant Smirnov has exposed the conspiracy of disinformation that has been fueled by Fox, enabled by their paid agents and monetized by the Fox enterprise. We plan on holding them accountable,” it added.
The letter references Fox News’ coverage concerning bribery accusations involving Hunter Biden and Alexander Smirnov, who claimed to the FBI that executives at the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma discussed bribing Hunter and his father to secure political protection from the then-Vice President Joe Biden.
NBC reports that the FBI has since charged Smirnov for purportedly inventing these allegations. The period mentioned covers Hunter Biden’s tenure on the Burisma Board of Directors, from 2014 to 2019.
The letter criticizes Fox News for presenting these allegations as “highly credible” despite lacking verification.
It also calls for retractions and corrections from anchors such as Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, and Jesse Watters, who are alleged to have perpetuated this narrative while covering the Smirnov story.
Additionally, the network faces accusations of broadcasting private images of Hunter Biden that were illicitly obtained and manipulated.
These were purportedly shown during the “mock trial” series titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden” broadcast in October 2021.
Hunter Biden’s legal representatives are demanding the removal of this series from all streaming platforms.
“While using certain true information, the series intentionally manipulates the facts, distorts the truth, narrates happenings out of context, and invents dialogue intended to entertain. Thus, the viewer of the series cannot decipher what is fact and what is fiction,” the letter reads.
