(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – In the face of one of the biggest crises America has ever faced due to Democrats’ failing policies, a recent CBS News poll reveals that Joe Biden’s approval rating regarding immigration has plummeted to its lowest point, with only 32% of Americans approving of his border management.
This figure signifies a significant dip in public confidence, as 68% of respondents disapproved of Biden’s approach to the border issue. The poll surveyed 2,157 adults in early January and also highlights a broader dissatisfaction with how Congress, particularly Republican members, addresses border policy.
Despite the GOP’s commitment to prioritizing border policy in their legislative agenda, only 35% of Americans approve of their handling of the issue, with a substantial 65% disapproving.
Public perception of the border situation is increasingly critical, with 45% of Americans perceiving it as a crisis and an additional 30% considering it a serious problem. At 63%, the majority sentiment supports stricter measures for migrants attempting to cross into the U.S., while a mere 16% advocate for easing the process.
The poll further reveals a generally negative attitude toward immigrants crossing the border, with half of the respondents, or 50%, believing that these immigrants will negatively impact American society in the long run. Only 22% foresee a positive influence.
The contentious issue of transporting migrants to northern states, predominantly led by Republican governors, also divided public opinion. While 57% of respondents disapproved of this action, 53% of Republicans expressed support for it.
Conducted with a margin of error of 2.8 percentage points, the poll underscores the challenges faced by the Biden administration and Congressional Republicans in navigating the complex and divisive issue of immigration and border security.
The results indicate a clear call for more effective and coherent policies to address the ongoing crisis at the U.S. border and the alarming rise of illegal crossings.
