(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Security at the Southern Border is in complete disarray, with Border Patrol custody facilities overwhelmed by the illegal alien invasion, a situation so bad that many observers believe it warrants the impeachment of Vice President Kamala Harris because she was tasked with securing the border.
On Tuesday evening, the number of illegal aliens in BP custody exceeded 22,000, a new high, with nine border sectors over capacity, The Daily Caller reports, citing internal data from the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency that it obtained.
In the Del Rio Sector in Texas, the Border Patrol’s custody facilities are now at 280% over capacity.
In a speech in March 2021, President Joe Biden proclaimed Harris his administration’s “point person” on the Southern Border.
“I can think of nobody who is better qualified to do this,” Biden said at the time.
According to the CBP data, the number of migrants in Border Patrol custody stood at only 7,696 on June 8, growing to nearly 17,000 on August 10 before reaching the current high.
The data also shows that border agents apprehended 8,923 migrants on Monday while releasing 7,730 in the US interior.
More than 7 million illegal aliens have invaded the United States on President Biden’s watch so far, including some 2 million gotaways, as per CBP estimates.
Official CBP data as of September 15 shows that Border Patrol officers have encountered 2.86 million illegal immigrants this fiscal year, which ends at the end of the month.
The FY 2022 total was 2.77 million, while in FY 2021, the number was 1.96 million.
Because of the renewed invasion and “the unprecedented migrant surge,” US border agents have seen their training, The Caller reports, citing numerous BP officers.
Furthermore, the Border Patrol increasingly uses “virtual processing,” with agents from one sector meeting with illegal migrants in another sector “on video call” to process them.
“I am currently processing for Del Rio/Eagle Pass. I started last month,” revealed an agent stationed along the northern border.
“Our duties now revolve around virtual processing and the facilitation of the inflow of illegal migration into the United States,” a second agent informed.
“We are upset because what they are making us do is break our oath we pledged. They have taken our job and made it a joke. We have endangered the country in so many ways,” a third agent said.
