(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – As the acclaimed television series “Yellowstone” approaches its finale, lead actor Kevin Costner has seemingly made a big hint at a potential continuation of the project as he has expressed his willingness to consider future collaborations with the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan.
In a discussion with Entertainment Weekly, Costner shared insights about his ongoing involvement with the show and his professional relationship with Sheridan.
While promoting his new movie, “Horizon: An American Saga,” Costner mentioned that although they have not deliberated over the concluding episodes of “Yellowstone,” the door remains open for potential future projects.
“No, we haven’t [talked],” Costner revealed, regarding any discussions about the series’ final chapters.
Nonetheless, he articulated a readiness to explore further creative opportunities with Sheridan, The Daily Caller reports.
Costner praised Sheridan’s unique approach to his projects, suggesting a mutual interest in working together again if the right opportunity arises.
“He’s doing special work in a lot of different ways. He’s very prolific about the things he does, and if he sees me in something that he wants to do, I’ll look at it just the way I did Yellowstone and maybe we will end up doing something together,” Costner conveyed to Entertainment Weekly.
He elaborated on their shared interests and the potential for future collaborations.
“He likes a lot of the things that I like, and the idea of us working together is not out of the question for me. The subjects he chooses are very interesting to me. I like a lot of that stuff. Yellowstone stands as something that could continue. But that is a Taylor question. But other things that he’s doing I think are really, really good. He likes the same subjects that I do,” the actor explained.
Despite the imminent conclusion of “Yellowstone” with its fifth season ending in November, followed by the launch of the spinoff “2024” in December, without Costner’s involvement, the possibility of further narratives under Sheridan’s direction, potentially including Costner, keeps the spirit of the series alive.
