VIDEO: MTG Booed; May Be Punished

Marjorie Taylor Greene

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Representative Dusty Johnson suggested that Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene might face repercussions and punishment following her unsuccessful attempt to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson from his position.

During a late-night session, as Greene criticized the Republican Speaker’s leadership on the House floor, describing it as “pathetic, weak and unacceptable,” her peers responded with loud boos.

She had previously vowed to push for a vote on a motion to vacate the speaker’s role if he proceeded with a foreign aid package for Ukraine, which had already been passed in April and became law.

The House overwhelmingly chose against Greene’s motion, 359-43, with a coalition of 196 Republicans and 163 Democrats voting to stop the motion procedurally.

In contrast, only 10 Republicans sided with Greene in her bid to challenge the speaker, a number slightly higher than those who voted to remove then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy in a vote last fall.

Following the vote, Greene, speaking to journalists on the Capitol steps, expressed that she was “proud of what she did.” However, her tactics have worn thin on some Republican colleagues.

When asked whether Greene should face disciplinary actions, Dusty Johnson, chairman of the Republican Main Street Caucus, responded with a measured tone, saying, “One dumpster fire at a time.”

Representative Carlos Giménez (R-FL) remarked that Greene “doesn’t represent the Republican Party,” expressing his frustration with her continuous spotlight-seeking behavior.

“I’m tired of this being the face or the voice of the party and getting attention,” he noted. “That’s all she wants, is the attention.”

Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) advocated for disciplinary measures against Greene and her associate, Representative Thomas Massie while saying they both needed to be punished.

Even former President Donald Trump, a staunch ally of Greene in the House, critiqued her move against Johnson while affirming his affection for her.

“I absolutely love Marjorie Taylor Greene.” Trump stated on Truth Social before he criticized her timing.

“However, right now, Republicans have to be fighting the Radical Left Democrats, and all the Damage they have done to our Country. With a Majority of One, shortly growing to three or four, we’re not in a position of voting on a Motion to Vacate. At some point, we may very well be, but this is not the time,” he added.
