MTG Files Impeachment Papers (Video)

(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Joe Biden’s abominable Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has been key to the president’s “open border” policy luring the Third World to invade America with illegal aliens – so a GOP congresswoman is now seeking his ouster in a long-overdue move.

US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced on Thursday (see the video below) an impeachment resolution against Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, accusing him of failing “to secure the border and protect States against invasion” due to the influx of millions of illegal immigrants.

About 8 million illegal immigrants have entered the United States since Joe Biden occupied the White House in January 2021, plus about 1.8 million known gotaways, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data.

From the House floor, MTG said Mayorkas was guilty of “high crimes and misdemeanors” in his role as the leading figure of President Biden’s immigration policies.

“The ongoing invasion at our southern border is a direct national security threat against the States and against the citizens therein… Approximately 10 million illegals [have entered the US on Biden’s watch],” she stated.

Besides stressing the CBP figures, the Georgia Republican also highlighted the significant amounts of fentanyl seized at the border: approximately 11,200 pounds in fiscal year 2021 and 14,700 pounds in fiscal year 2022, with about 27,000 pounds seized in fiscal year 2023.

The resolution accuses Mayorkas of violating the constitutional rights of US citizens to protection from invasion, as stated in the Guarantee Clause within Article IV of the Constitution.

It also alleges his noncompliance with the Secure Fence Act of 2006 and the Immigration and Nationality Act by practicing “catch and release policies,” terminating contracts for border wall construction and abandoning the Trump administration’s Remain in Mexico and Title 42 policies for migrant expulsion.

As a privileged motion, Greene’s impeachment article must be voted on within two legislative days. As of Thursday afternoon, no additional votes had been scheduled in the House for that week.

In response, a DHS spokesperson defended Secretary Mayorkas.

“While the House Majority has wasted months trying to score points with baseless attacks, Secretary Mayorkas has been doing his job and working to keep Americans safe,” the official said.

“Instead of continuing their reckless impeachment charades and attacks on law enforcement, Congress should work with us to keep our country safe, build on the progress DHS is making, and deliver desperately needed reforms for our broken immigration system that only legislation can fix,” Mayorkas’ subordinate argued.
