(ReclaimingAmerica.net) – Confirming that Black voters have supported him during his presidential campaign to make America great again, former President Donald Trump officially backed Black Republican Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson from North Carolina for the state’s governorship.

This endorsement occurred during a rally in Greensboro where Trump described Robinson as “Martin Luther King on steroids.” Trump praised Robinson and expressed his full endorsement in the North Carolina Republican primary.

On the scene Trump told the audience, “I heard him coming in on the plane. I was listening, and I said to the people on the plane, ‘Watch this. This is Martin Luther King on steroids.’”

Nonetheless, Robinson did not know how to respond to Trump’s comparison, but the GOP front-runner insisted, “I think you’re better than Martin Luther King. I think you are Martin Luther King times two. You should like it.”

The Republican governor was part of a select group in North Carolina that received Trump’s “complete and total endorsement” before Super Tuesday.

In addition, Trump highlighted Robinson’s qualities, and called him an “incredible gentleman” and a “great, natural speaker.”

Robinson expressed he felt “humbled” to receive Trump’s support for governor, and voiced his willingness to collaborate with the former president to “lead our United Republican ticket to victory in November, and get our state and country back on track.”

In contrast, Robinson faces competition from two other GOP primary candidates North Carolina State Treasurer Dale Folwell and trial attorney Bill Graham. Both contenders aim to question Robinson’s viability in the general election and doubted his ability to secure victory in this November.

The Republican political landscape in North Carolina is gearing up for an intense and competitive race as both parties select their candidates for the upcoming election.
